BEAUTY REVIEW | VICHY DERMABLEND!

I love trying out new makeup, especially since I always reach for the same products at the drugstore, I definitely want to start branching out when it comes to makeup! So I was extremely excited when Vichy got in touch and sent me their Fluid Corrective Foundation and their Setting Powder! I'm so grateful that I have amazing makeup to play around with, that I've never tried before!

Vichy claims that this Dermablend Collection features high coverage yet incredibly lightweight products that help conceal skin concerns and provide instant, professional looking coverage from top to toe. Keep reading if you want to find out how I got on with this makeup!
Starting with the Fluid Corrective Foundation, I found this to be very light weight, meaning my skin didn't feel cakey, and I didn't feel as if I was wearing any makeup, which is great for that perfect natural look! The colour match was spot on, I opted for '05 Porcelain' as I am very pale, so at first I was worried it wouldn't be the right match, but it suited my skin perfectly, and provided me with natural, flawless looking skin! The range has many new shades, so there's a foundation for everyone! My favourite thing about this foundation is the coverage, it states that it is high coverage, and will cover minor to moderate skin imperfections, such as uneven skin tone, dark circles, spots, scars and redness. This foundation did the job very well, and covered the redness around my cheeks which I was very happy about, it worked well to conceal my spots, and banished my dark under eye circles! This is probably the best foundation I've tried in terms of coverage and colour match! The 30ml bottle is £18 which I think personally is a little pricey, but at the minute is on offer at Boots for £13.50 which is a steal, as I normally opt for cheaper alternatives from the drugstore, however I'm really happy with the results from this foundation, so I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a high coverage yet light weight finish, that will provide a natural look! The foundation contains SPF 35, is hypoallergenic, and has a 16 hour staying power, which is absolutely amazing!

The Setting Powder also worked well on my skin, and created a matte, natural look when combined with the foundation. It's a translucent powder which I like as then it doesn't affect the shade of the foundation. Both these products have been tested on sensitive skin, so I'd definitely recommend them, they made my skin feel and look great, and didn't cause any break outs! Applying this on top of the foundation also creates a 16 hour staying power, and is resistant to perspiration, bathing and rubbing, so no fear ladies and gents your makeup will stay in place even if you're getting your groove on at the clubs! I love the applicator and how easy it was to apply! I received a booklet with the products which gave information about them, which I think is great as I enjoyed reading the extra details about what I was using. However the booklet states the powder is £16, but then online it says it is £15... so I'm sorry I can't be more precise, it's a shame this isn't clearer! However, on the Boots website there is an offer on at the moment, and it is only £11.25 now! I do think these prices are expensive in my opinion, as powder is something I'm not that bothered about, but I'm glad I have one to use now!

Overall I love these products, and I'll definitely be checking out the Vichy range from now on, I'm eyeing up the Corrective Stick which looks amazing. A little out of my price range, but recently I've been wanting to dwell into more expensive makeup, so I'd definitely recommend to anyone that wants to treat themselves to high quality makeup that is high coverage, light weight and makes your skin look flawless yet natural!

Have you ever tried Vichy makeup before? Let me know in the comments below! XOXO B.

  8. Great post! I haven't tried any of Vichy products, but this foundation sounds great. I guess the only kind of downfall is that as its SP35 it def won't be camera flash friendly. Might still give it a go 💕
