Do one thing a week that scares you

I thought the Gratitude Challenge was interesting this week, it asks for us to express gratitude to three people, so I didn't really know how I could incorporate this into a post. The week after asks us 'how did we do and feel?' so I wanted to combine these two into one post.

I think letting people know how lucky we are to have them in our life is the best thing to do, it will improve your relationship, and overall make you and that person really happy. I definitely need to start doing this more, I've vowed to make more of an effort with people, and let them know how much I appreciate them.
Speaking up
I think I've learned a lot this week, I've realised that opening up about my mental health is the best thing to do, there's nothing worse than feeling isolated with these problems, speaking up is the way forward. I've opened up to my family about these issues, so I'm definitely grateful to them, they've pushed me to get the help I need, which I've put off from doing for the longest time.

Do something each week that scares you
I'm feeling inspired to talk about this, as I think this week has circulated upon this message. I went to the doctors, although it was the most pointless appointment ever, I still did it. I even got back in touch with an old friend. You may have read about her in my last post which you can find here, I apologised to her and asked to meet up, I was anxiously awaiting for the response, but she told she misses me too and that we definitely should go for a meal and drinks. I feel so emosh, I'm so glad I pushed myself, I've been holding back for almost two years to talk to her, I was always scared of the answer. However, I tackled my fear and pushed myself, the result? I feel 100% better for doing it, and hopefully we can rekindle our friendship, I mean we were best friends for 12 years, I don't want that to go to waste. So I am extremely grateful to her, for accepting my apology, for looking past my mistakes and wanting to meet up with me.

FriendsHonestly, I'm grateful to my friends this week, I've had the nicest messages from my new friends at uni, who have shown support and kindness about my mental health, letting me know that I can confide in them when need be. I think just making friends in general has allowed me to become more happy, as I was feeling very alone, so the concept of meeting new people is always exciting. Group chats are the best though, they're very therapeutic and well needed. Obviously I'm really thankful to you. I'm grateful that you read my blog, comment, follow me, or talk to me via social media, little things like this truly make me so happy, the blogging community is just so wonderful, creating a blog was the best thing I have ever done.

I'm really pushing myself lately, I'm coming out of my comfort zone, and loving the outcome. I think we should all strive for happiness, try new things, and always show appreciation to our loved ones. Just a simple thank you, or letting someone know you love them, it really is the little things in life that make the big difference.

  9. I love the whole idea of 'doing at least one thing you're scared of every day', it's not always possible, but whenever you can it makes such a big difference!
