SHOP TILL I DROP! A Miss Selfridge, PaperChase, Tesco, H&M and Primark haul!

A long winded title, for a long winded post. I thought I'd share with you photos and few deets of the latest items I've been purchasing. Sometimes, shopping is therpeutic. Sometimes, shopping is stressful. Extremely stressful. I made a short trip to Tesco and then a slightly longer trip to a shopping centre, where I treated myself to a few bits, purely because I got a first in one of my first uni essays, go me!! (I'll tell myself anything to justify my reasons for spending, and spending my student loan may. I. add.)

Do you want to know one thing I'm bad at? Taking a photo of everything in the same shot, so I've had to use my own initiative here, and just use a photo of heels and boots galore, it's fitting for a haul, right?

So I'll start with Tesco first, I instantly fell in love with the most beautiful boots. I've been lusting over some black knee length boots for ages now. I purchased some shorter, wedged, tan ones from New Look in the summer (£60 and I've only ever worn them once!!) they killed my feet. So this was a good reason to buy some more. As you can tell by the photo, they get marked very easily, so I definitely need to purchase a suede brush! They were £35, but I just had to buy them. They make my outfit look 10 times better, they are great for keeping my legs warm in these cold months, and they look super stylish, especially with a cute silver zip at the back. It's also a bit shorter at the back, which is edgy, and I just love the colour black. Next on my list is to basically get another pair but with a wedge on it (eh Becky, you just moaned about the other ones with a wedge killing your feet), yes, but they look ace for nights out, I'll guess I'll put up with the pain for that reason.

Then, I picked up a coat. No I definitely did not need another coat (the back of my door can not handle the amount of coats hanging on it for dear life). But guys... (here comes my justification), I have needed wanted a trench coat for a while now, ever since I saw my mate Holly wearing a gorgeous one from Primark (sad times for me I couldn't find it in the shop), so I had to get this one from Tesco. It came in a bunch of colours, I also really loved the navy blue one, but I loved how classic and sophisticated the nude colour of the coat was. The belt is a simple but effective accessory, and I really like the buttons, is that weird? The coat was £30, and looks a stunner paired with the boots.

A few days later I went to a shopping centre with my mum, and I picked up some right beauties!

A.K.A this gorgeous blue bomber jacket from Miss Selfridge! Now, Miss Selfridge isn't a shop I buy in, I tend to walk in, have a look round and walk straight back out again (I don't have that kind of money!!) But I couldn't resist picking this up. Again, I could emphasise my "I don't need any more coats" statement that I literally just made, but I had to have this. It was one of those moments where if you left the shop and you couldn't stop thinking about an item of clothing then buy it, so that's what I did. Well technically I didn't even leave the shop or have any second thoughts about it, I knew I was getting it as soon as I tried it on! Bonus, it looks GREAT with my new boots. This was £50 which was the factor that was putting me off from buying it, good ole UNiDAYS saved the day by taking it down to £45, thank you very much, much justification now.

Swiftly moving along from that expensive store haha, I popped into H&M. I can find some inexpensive gorgeous peices from this shop, I love it! And once again, I wasn't disappointed! I found my mum found a beautiful patterned skirt, with a zipper at the back, yay for extra detailing!! I had to have it, I was like "yeah mum we'll share it" and took it straight to the counter, (of course I'll share it, sharing is caring). I was upset at first as they didn't have a size 10, but unexpectantly was able to fit into a size 8, so I could buy the skirt, and wow, happy days! It was £15!

Then, upon searching, OK my mum searching... she found me the matching top! Now, I don't plan on wearing these together, but I thought it would be cute to wear with my black high wasted skinnies, because what else do I wear these days? Plus, it was on sale, for £5! So I couldn't really turn it down could I? Well, I probably could, but I didn't want to. It sinches at the end, and falls delicately off the shoulder, it's a very summer style, with a wintry pattern, perfect with red nails and a berry lip! (thats me turning into a fashion blogger, right before your very eyes!)

Also from H&M, my mum (she literally found me everything) picked out this gorgeous little top! It reminds me of Where's Wally? But hey I don't mind that, nostalgic reasons and orl. I got this in a medium as it looked quite tight fitting, and it comes up a little short but it's not quite a crop top. It's a jumper material, soft, and just looks sick! (mind my slang) This came to £15!

Now, as you may know from previous blog posts, I'm normally a huge fan of Primark. I go in and come out with two full bags, and a ton of stuff. However, the store nearest to me is quite crap, and for some reason I don't have the patience or energy to look round the shop anymore, nothing catches my eye. But, I did see some cute sports bras stacked up and because I'm a gym freak (Nah just kidding, I've totes only just signed up), I needed to get one because hey we all need a little support sometimes! Originally I was going to buy a bright pink one, with the cutest neon, colourful straps at the back, but instead I opted for this simple grey and pink push up one (because obvs I wanna make my boobs look good for the gym), again just joking I wear a top over it but it's so cute and soft! It was £6!

Lastly, my mum went looking in PaperChase for my sister a journal, I actually have one from there, it's the most cutest thing ever. If you follow me on Insta and Twitter then you've probably already seen it! (cheeky promo) But I JUST CAN'T RESIST. I mean have you seen the shop?! It's full of cute and colourful things, and ah my mind goes away and my purse comes out! I had to pick up the same one my mum was buying for my sister, it opens out and everything...it's so cool (I'm lame I know) It was £10!

So there you have it, a wordy, photo heavy, post! You're welcome.

Let me know in the comments below how you take photos of clothes, I literally have no idea what to do with hauls and such. I throw my clothes on the bathroom floor and hope for the best. Let me know what backgrounds, techniques, etc etc that you use, it would be much appreciated!! XOXO B.

  3. Great haul post! I think you can sometimes find some great finds in Tesco's womens wear for affordable prices. I also have no idea how to take haul photo's for my blog haha. You could always try putting your clothes on individual hangers, then hanging them up against your wardrobe or a cupboard somewhere. Another idea could be laying them out on your bed in a neat pile or something similar to that!!xx

  8. I think when some people hear that I have clothes from places like Tesco they immediately presume that it couldn't be anything nice. I can relate to this because I used to feel that way too but this post proves that some of the nicest things can be from places like that.
